    As a Senior Benefits Consultant/Project Manager, you will be part of a collegial team and your responsibilities will draw upon your client service skills, strategy, technical understanding of employee health and welfare benefits, benefit design, plan renewals, and overall service delivery.

    Role Description

    • Effective application of consulting skills, leads projects, leads client teams and deliverables and maintains and strengthens client relationships
    • Demonstrates working knowledge of benefit programs, healthcare industry trends, technical understanding of employee health and welfare benefits, ancillary providers, and health care markets
    • Leads problem solving and effective integrated solutions
    • Demonstrates good judgment and decision making
    • Demonstrates analytical and critical thinking skills, technical and problem-solving abilities
    • Effective interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills

    Responsibilities

    • Provides direct benefit consulting services
    • Provides strategic planning and consulting advice to clients including the production of Requests for Proposal, coordination of vendor responses, analysis and comparison of RFP responses, and preparation of a client report with recommendations
    • Manages client and stakeholder expectations and delivers value
    • Leads client work, takes ownership of deliverables, leads client meetings
    • Researches and understands industry trends, product development, and government regulations
    • Anticipates and addresses client needs
    • Influences client strategic and tactical direction and influences client decision making

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 5 or more years’ of employee benefits consulting experience, required
    • 3 or more years of related experience in client services, project management and/or client relationship building
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Self-motivated and disciplined
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Able to multi-task and manage workload
    • Able to thrive in fast-paced environment
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
    • Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
    • Legally able to work in the United States
    • U.S. citizen
    • Able to obtain and maintain security clearance
