MCA is looking for a Data Analyst who loves working with data, can create meaningful and effective reports and data visualizations, and can partner with customers to answer key business questions.

     

    As a Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to display your skills in producing and analyzing contract deliverables as well as performing ad hoc analysis and assisting with research and development projects. You will bring analytical rigor and sound mathematical methods to the challenges of measuring quality, increasing efficiency, and improving customer outcomes. In addition to providing valuable insight for our customers, you will be an important member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary project team of subject matter experts and clinical specialists working to meet client needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with complex data sets to address difficult and non-routine problem analysis using sound statistical approaches. Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables and presentations. 
    • Make business recommendations with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information
    • Research and develop analysis, forecasting, and optimization methods to improve the quality of MCA’s internal and external products

    Qualifications

    • BS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems) from an accredited 4-year College or University
    • Three (3) years’ experience in data analytics in the health care industry or related field
    • Advanced MS Excel Experience (Pivot Tables, Functions/Formulas, Template Creation, etc.)
    • Experience articulating business questions and using mathematical techniques to arrive at an answer using available data. Experience translating analysis results into business recommendations
    • Experience working with database design and database languages (e.g., SQL)
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Federal Government Security Clearance
